Glutinous Rice, also known as Sticky Rice, is a common ingredient in Chinese cuisine, particularly in the southern regions of China. Moreover, it is also a popular ingredient in Vietnamese cuisine.
In Chinese cooking, you can use this rice in recipes such as Sticky Rice Dumplings and Sticky Rice Cakes.
On the other hand, the Vietnamese know this rice as “Xoi”. Typically, they eat it for breakfast, as a snack or as a dessert. Actually, there are many different variations of Xoi, which are often made with additional ingredients such as beans, coconut, or meat.
